The ribs are on the boil right now.Can someone give me a quick bbq pork rib recipe?
This is so simple, I am almost ashamed of it. LOL but there you go::::it's good.
HICKORY SMOKED BAR-B-QUE RIBS
4 to 5 lbs. pork ribs (spare or back ribs)
1 (13 1/2 oz.) bottle hickory liquid smoke
2 1/2 qts. water
Favorite barbecue sauce
Combine liquid smoke and water in a large pot; bring to a boil. Add the ribs and reduce heat; simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Remove ribs from liquid; let cool. (Ribs may be refrigerated or frozen for future use.)
Dip or brush ribs with barbecue sauce. Cook at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. For crispy ribs, broil additional 3-5 minutes.

Once they're finished boiling, put them in a pan (9 x13) with BBQ sauce (bottled or make your own while they boil) and let that bake covered with foil. Then, put them under the broiler to crisp them a bit. I tend to boil for an hour and bake at 350* or for as long as I can -- meaning: until we are too hungry to wait any longer. Then, I broil for a couple of minutes. If you don't have time to bake them for long, you can pull the meat from the bones after boiling and bake the meat only with BBQ sauce (and do the broil part). Good luck!

Tony Roma's World Famous Ribs
Pork
4 pounds baby back ribs or 4 lbs. pork spare
1 bottle barbecue sauce--your favorite recipe
Often when you buy ribs at the butcher counter, you get a full rack of ribs that wouldn't fit on a plate. Usually you just have to cut these long racks in half to get the perfect serving size (about 4 to 6 rib bones per rack). You'll likely have 4 of these smaller racks at about a pound each. Preheat the oven to 300F. Tear off 4 pieces of aluminum foil that are roughly 6 inches longer than the ribs. Coat the ribs, front and back, with your choice of barbecue sauce. Place a rack of ribs, one at a time, onto a piece of foil lengthwise and wrap it tightly. Place the ribs into the oven with the seam of the foil wrap facing up. Cook for 2 to 2-1/2 hours, or until you see the meat of the ribs shrinking back from the cut ends of the bones by about 1/2 inch. This long cooking time will ensure that the meat will be very tender and fall off the bone. Toward the end of the cooking time, prepare the grill. Remove the ribs from the foil and smother them with additional barbecue sauce. Be sure to save some sauce for later. Grill the ribs over hot coals for 2 to 4 minutes per side, or just until you see several spots of charred blackened sauce. Watch for flames and do not burn! When the ribs are done, use a sharp knife to slice the meat between each bone about halfway down. This will make it easier to tear the ribs apart when they are served. TIDBITS If you've got the time to marinate these ribs in advance, do it. I've found these ribs are extraordinary when they've been soaking in barbecue sauce for 24 hours before cooking. Just prepare the ribs in the foil described in the recipe and keep them in your refrigerator. Toss them, foil and all, into the oven the next day, 2 to 2-1/2 hours.
Boil for 30 min., place on cookie sheet, coat w/ BBQ sauce and bake for 10 min at 375 degrees. After 10 min., turn ribs over and repeat process. Good luck.
If I don't feel like grilling them I will put them in a skillet with a bit of oil and when they are getting the pink out I douse them in BBQ sauce, keep heat on medium and just let them cook through.
You can put them in a baking dish and bake them in the oven though, season with what you want, put BBQ sauce on them, cover with foil and bake at about 350 until they are done, you can even pour a can of Coke over them for tenderizing. (
mix can of coca-cola, teaspoon of dry mustard, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 can tomato paste. bring to boil. pour over ribs and bake for 15 minutes.
Boil for 1 hour slowly. Mix a thick syrup of brown sugar, vinegar and beer and baste the ribs. Place in oven on medium heat for up to an hour then finish off on broil for 10 minutes...
Well if you are already boiling the ribs I would continue boiling until done then put some bbq sauce over them and put them under the broiler.
Season you ribs with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Place on jelly roll pan and cover with foil. Cook slow and low, about 325 until bones start to poke though meat. That means it is done. In the mean time take store bought bbq sauce, mix in brown sugar and beer. Mix well. When bones are poking though take out of oven, unwrap all the way and glaze with sauce. Recover and place back in oven for about 30 minutes. No real measurements on sauce. Just mix and taste. Great ribs.
