What is a quick and easy,decent recipe for icing ?

Chocolate Frosting:





1/4 Cup butter or Marg.


1/2 Cup cocoa


1/4 teaspoon salt


1/3 cup milk


1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla


3 1/2 cups confectioners sugar ( sift for lumps)





Combine melted butter, cocoa, and salt.





Then add milk and vanilla.





Mix until smooth and creamy





Add more sugar to thicken or milk to thin, if needed for the good spreading consistency.





Very good. You can even add a tablespoon or two of peanut butter if you like or add walnuts or pecans.What is a quick and easy,decent recipe for icing ?

1 pkg instant pudding(pistachio,chocolate,french vanilla...)

1 1/2 tb Orange rind, grated

3 tb Fresh strong coffe

1/2 c Crushed pineapple, drained





Blend confectioners' sugar and butter.


Stir in until smooth one of the variations

Better than Mom made
Just mix powdered sugar and water until it's a good consistency (depending on how thick or thin you want it, and the quantity). Add some vanilla extract and you're done!

it ddepends what you need it for, but the powdered sugar with milk and orange flavoring is easy, but thin. Martha Stewart's Royal Icing is surprisingly easy for cookies.
