What is a recipe for a quick and easy (but tasty) cream sauce?

maybe something figure friendly and that can be whipped up no problem. What is a recipe for a quick and easy (but tasty) cream sauce?
The simplest cream sauce is to take a stick of margarine or butter %26amp; melt in a pan on slow heat, gradually adding flour mixture %26amp; whisking briskly to avoid lumps...add milk to get desired consistency as well as whatever seasonings you prefer alon with salt %26amp; pepper...makes a quick easy cream sauce every time~What is a recipe for a quick and easy (but tasty) cream sauce?
Fatfree half and half? I think that stuff is just a myth. If not, then it surely won't be ';tasty';, which is a requirement you are asking for.

You can try using evaporated milk.

First, saute some garlic, and maybe some onion in a pan with 1 tbsp of EVOO, and 1 tbsp butter.

Next, add some dry white wine, maybe a 1/4 cup, and a 1/2 cup of chicken stock... and reduce by half.

Then add can of the milk.

-Also, zest in a lemon for added flavor (don't use any juice), and throw in some fresh thyme.

Last, add in about 1 cups of freshly grated parmesan cheese.

Season with salt and pepper. If it's not thick enough for you, you can add some cornstarch. Just added it to about a tablespoon of cold water, or milk and stir it up, before putting it in the sauce.

This is a great alfredo type cream sauce. You can also use marscapone cheese, about 1 cup to add an amazing flavor. Also try adding peas and spicy italian sausage.

Serve it with Penne, or Farfalle (bow tie) pasta

It's one of my favorites.

If not the sausage, try prosciutto.
melt,2 0z of butter add 2oz of all purpose flour use a wooden spoon mix well until no sign of flour, now add 35% cream a little at a time until the thickness you require, now you can add the flavor wanted garlic, basil ,lemon saffron, dill, mushroom ,vermouth bring to a boil for

3 to 4 minutes than simmer for15 more minutes, good with chicken and all pasta. if you need to thicken more add a little more of the butter flour mix,and to thin use more cream, remember when you add more flour you nust cook out the starch taste aproxiamately 15 minutes, good luck.
